ADJUSTMENTS

The WBATS and their GB have done some major PR damage control with the "old" new light of the overlapping generation in 2010, and the recent new light of the FDS arrangement in 2013, it has helped stave off some of their bleeding. I can remember at the time when it was first announced it went completely over my head, I didn't even bat an eye or loose a step. I just didn't understand at the time (not completely understanding JW doctrine and chronology, and just what the JW CULT leadership bets on for the rank and file when releasing new light) how critical of a so-called "ADJUSTMENT" that was, until several years later and being able to finally see some old light through research and connecting the dots. I'm sure the exact samething has happened to many with last years adjusted understanding of the FDS. They just can't see the forest for the trees!!!

Now at this time everyone is caught up in the fervor of the 100 year anniversary, and thinks the end is next month or at the latest next year through subliminal messages such as, "WILL THIS BE OUR LAST MEMORIAL?" or "EVEN IF AN ELDER SAYS SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FROM A HUMAN STAND POINT WE SHOULD STILL OBEY" or their announcement of JW.ORGY as if God is saying this is our last hoorah in our worldwide preaching work before the BIG A! We can't forget about their constant and ever ready, age old standby, "THE END IS VERY SOON!" quote, which everytime it is stated the rank and file think to themselves: Will it be next week? It's a cult mind control brainwashing trigger to keep everyone panting like a Dog in heat.

Who could forget the campaign several years ago with the tract stating "THE END OF FALSE RELIGION IS NEAR!" that tract alone bought them at least 5 years with the rank and file. They are nothing more than a doomsday CULT with a smile. So it's just a constant PR spin and damage control that the WBATS repeats to keep them and the rank and file chugging along. I'm not sure what other magic tricks they can pull out of that hat to stop the bleeding? The AGM is near so I guess we will have to wait and see...

It is interesting to see the hype and frenzy over stuff recently. One elder told me yesterday, "Jehovah's chariot is really speeding up." I reminded him of the 1975 fiasco and that we're seeing a similar hype and frenzy. You know what he told me? He agreed, then said his father went through that same hype in 1942 and sold EVERYTHING because the end was so close back then. I doubt he'll see the problem that arises from this.

I think for many JWs, come November, there's going to be a lot of people in a big depression. I don't know.... I was too young to remember 1975, but this hype and frenzy is just weird. At least people aren't selling everything they have this time around. Just a lot of busy-work, you know, that 7th day march around Jericho. (I don't know where that started, but it was mentioned in my cong. too.)

Leaving quietly, exactly good point, it's deja vu!!! For every generation it's a new set of rules and a whole new hype to keep this ponzi scheme afloat!

The WT today and the comments along with the mood of the congregation was quite telling, I plan to put it in words and post on it later as I took notes of the comments during the meeting, it was different from what I expected. It left me with a lot to ponder today...

I think that today’s Watchtower study, which is about not questioning the Governing Body and not daring to listen to “apostates,” is really part of the WTS’ effort to keep people in line through fear in the hopes that there won’t be too much of a mass exodus of their followers if – I mean, when – the big, bad “great tribulation” doesn’t start happening (peace and security, fall of Babylon the Great, blah, blah) by the end of this year of 2014.

I can almost feel them trying to do some fancy footwork in anticipation of this inevitable reality for them, which will no doubt require some more of that damage control (perhaps some more “new light”). They will have to do some kind of new maneuvering in order to hold on to their flock of googly-eyed sheep, many of whom might just be starting to check things out online even at this very moment. This year might prove to be another little bump in the old dog-and-pony show tour.

SAHS I got the same feeling from the WT today! I believe there is some new light coming down the pipe that will be earth shattering in the JW CULT world. So the GB and the WBATS are prepping the rank and file (more so the ones who have doubts) to make a decision, to either LISTEN, OBEY AND BE BLESSED or KEEP YOUR DOUBTS TO YOURSELF AND GET OUT!!!

I find it funny how all the 'nu-lite' appears to those outside JW.borg as flip flopping, scrambling around in desparate fits to keep the religion going; to those still in it is proof that G is guiding the organisation and moving it forward. They need new light in some ways - otherwise what are the FDS for really?
