Not sure if this has ever been posted, but that is a significant move to stop shielding assets.

The first legislative move anywhere in Australia to repeal the now notorious “Ellis defence” has been taken in the NSW Parliament with Greens NSW MP David Shoebridge giving a second reading of his Justice for Victims Bill.
May this kind of Legislation be spread around the World !
I am convinced all the moves by the WT/JW org. that have been made recently to distance the GB and leaders and individual congregations from the huge assets of the W.T are an attempt to not pay out compensation to victims who more than deserve it.
Like most religions, the W.T are heartless money grubbers.

It's such an irony/paradox, too, considering how much more heavy-handed they've been getting lately on rigidly following WT policy when corresponding with the BOEs and R&F.
As far as I'm concerned, though, you can "have your cake and eat it too" for only so long before the cake comes back and bites you on the ass.
