Just seen it with HL. She thought it was wonderful, I would rate it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Hugh Grant was excellent, great to see him having a stab at something other than a stammering upper class twit. Yes it was a pretty enjoyable feel good type movie. The big thing which let it down in my view was the casting of the boy. He was just a crap actor - or at least not good enough for a joint lead role. I'll give it a 7 and a half
I really liked it.I'd give an 8.
I'd like to see more British, French and other films outside of hollywood.
Hollywood films are just too childish and formulatic(?) for me.
It did make me smile, although "Bend it like Beckham" had me grinning from ear to ear when we left.
