Dinner with Salud et al

Hey y'all,

Just thought I'd share a great time I had today with yas. I met Salud and his wife for an early dinner. Doug and Tracy (FreePeace and Stink..er, I mean Think41self) were also there and it was a great time! They are super nice folks and I cannot tell you all how wonderful it is to finally have some xdubs in MY neck of the woods! I mean, geez, I've been holding down the fort here all by myself and it was getting to be quite lonely, doncha know.

Anyway, I was very impressed with both of them; they're very warm, funny, gentle people...and hopefully, they'll post their story so that the rest of you guys can be as impressed with them as I am

Interesting how people from this board kept coming into the conversation...if any of you are curious whether we talked about you, send me $10 US and I'll be happy to spill the beans

Oh...and Doug and Tracy are nice too

Ha Ha Dana,

I got home and was going to post about what a nice time we had...and you'd already done it! Salud and wife were wonderful, warm people...we even joked about the camaraderie we used to feel as JW's whenever we met other dubs, and how we have that now with Ex JW's. But the kinship we feel is much deeper, and it's based on mutual acceptance of others...regardless of their beliefs.

This was a day of visiting for us. Just before we drove to Brandon to meet up with these guys, we had lunch with Venice and Michelle. Skipper was supposed to come, but he had to stay home and wash his hair, or some such lame excuse.

It really is a small world, Salud's wife knew people from the town Doug grew up in, and Michelle has had dinner at my Aunt and Uncle's in another state. Life is funny.

Anyway, we had a great day, I couldn't think of a better way to spend a day off work. Even seeing Dana was nice Thank you all for meeting us.

P.S. Dana, who is Et Al? I don't think I met them.

We had such a wonderful time with all of you also. All day we looked fwd to meeting you. You are really great people. It is nice to know of others in the 'hood' who share the same experiences. There are others to hold down the fort. By the way safe4kids, we are splitting the $10.00 50/50 right?

We met Salud and wife............(YES, start posting, Mrs. Salud) when we were in Florida earlier this month. I have to agree that they are really fun, and have great tans.........but then they DO live in Florida. It's funny how we all have such similar lives now.

I talked to Venice this evening, on her drive back home, and she had a great time over there too.

ahhh I knew you'd all like each other and I think I SHOULD GET THE $10. Sorry I didn't make it up to Tampa, but I was sooo relaxed and had a great time, and I'm so glad you all were able to hook up.

We could have it at the beach maybe...something to think about! And, er...I won't hold my breath waiting for that $10

I wish that I could have met up with you while you were here in Florida. It was nice talking to you on the phone that weekend we were all in Orlando and Vennie called to wake you up What a gal, hey?
