Do not store up treasures on earth

I had a thought about this scripture: "Do not store up for yourselfs treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy,

and thieves break in and steal". It really seems to fit storing up treasures in the Jehovah's Witnesses organization. We build

up our treasure in the reputation of ourselves and the seeming credit we build up by going out in service, acts of mercy, time on quickbuilds and so on.

But really our "treasure" is broken into and stolen by lying slander, from elders who claim we are evil, by disfellowshippings, by the label apostate.

This makes the elders and others look righteous and us look bad - they have stolen our treasure and we don't have anything of that left. Hindsights 20/20 but just thought that this is an interesting way to look at this scripture.

runforever, the theft came earlier, when our efforts were diverted from what God is supposed to have approved (the good huamanitarian works of the sheep of Math.25)---to any work that was done in behalf of the " true anointed brothers of Christ, exclusively the WT Corporation INC. of PA whatever. )

will there be a reward for having been gullable?

Did you feel good , important, make friends, meet your mate, during your years as pioneer, worker? That IS your reward.

Wt promises are as true as valuable as the talking snake story.

    enjoy life now.

prologos, I think we agree to a point but I'm specifically talking about the tagline when they say you are building up a good name but the

'deposits' are in actuality with people-humans who assure you that your good rep is safe with them. Yes the pioneering, work, talks were supposed to be blessings but the long term was you were building up a good name... unfortunately it was really trusting in the human organization which then pilfers

the record of your 'works' by now deeming you and your works completely worthless.

Do you have any idea how much money the jehovahs witness organization has accumulated in property , assets , investments , donations via contributions , wills , beneficiaries etc. in total ? No and neither does anybody else , why ? because they are not transparent as to how much money they receive and where it is going. And yet they still want the members of congregations to contribute more.Contrary what the first president of the watchtower C.T.Russell said , words to the effect we will never solicit for funds .

In the past 10 years jehovahs witnesses have made in excess of $804 million in sales of property they owned .Thats in property alone .

And dont forget they are a not for profit organization , a charity.that gives nothing to nobody.

I put my treasure on earth, it perishes little by little. Some gets stolen. Some gets used up or spent. Some wears out. And some simply gets ruined otherwise. But not before we get the use of it. And, so I get a sizable stack of silver. What are the chances of its being all gone in a single blow?

You put treasure with joke-hova, it perishes in one blow. While you lose the benefit, you make one little mistake and it is all gone. That would be like having 500 monster boxes of silver being destroyed on you for a single cup of coffee. Yet, joke-hova insists that this treasure that it will destroy on you for a single mistake is worth more than 500 monster boxes of silver.

smiddy, I do not know the total worth of the watchtower. I estimate they spend around 350 to 400 million a year at least though.

3 magazines a month each with a printing around 45 million that is quite a bit. Then at least 200 million a year on personnel. It looks like they have

cinched things up for now but I don't think it would take much to start them on a downward spiral.

Wtwizard, i agree there is something horrible about the jehovah's witness entity named Jehovah.

run forever, what you thought were treasures in heaven, were really treasures on earth, the lements of an entirely earthly9worldly0 organisation. Your illusion that these treasure, your position reputation are unassailable as if beyond human reach has proven just such.

I is a message to all, any effort you expended the moment you do it is inthe account, the benefit of the INC.

If you are still fully in, and have a good account with them, when you die, your funreal will be another advertisement for JW. ORG. your final privilege.

Do not store treasures ON EARTH?

You did, WE did, JWS still do. a nice conjugation,

    for the Corporation

Did you feel good , important, make friends, meet your mate, during your years as pioneer, worker? That IS your reward.

As soon as I read this, the passage below immediately came to mind.

Take care not to practice your righteousness in front of men to be noticed by them; otherwise you will have no reward with your Father who is in the heavens. So when you make gifts of mercy, do not blow a trumpet ahead of you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. - Matt 6:1,2
