Imperfect vs evil

  If a Jehovah's Witness does something bad, evil, or shady, they are described as being imperfect.

  If a non Jehovah's Witness does something bad, evil or shady they are wicked and under the control of Satan and his demons.

  If I've heard it once I've heard it 1000 times.

  Witnesses believe they are specially acquitted of their sins while the rest of the world is not covered by Jesus' ransom sacrifice.

  They use a few basic points to elevate themselves above the rest of humanity.

  1. They carry God's name.
  2. They don't fight in wars (love among themselves)
  3. They have true doctrines (hell, soul, no trinity)
  4. Separate from the world (no birthdays, Xmas, voting)
  5. They officially shun sinners.

  These are the building blocks upon which they say they are simply imperfect while everyone else is evil. These few things keep 99.9 percent of mankind from being covered by Jesus' ransom sacrifice.

  LOL... Yes, it's true when comparing JW's with outsiders (unbelievers) and insiders (believers). However, it changes inside the group. Every group must have it's scapegoats. We even have several scapegoats here...

  Honestly, I've only heard this applied to elders, CO's, etc. It's the elders that are imperfect while the R&F are all sinners. The R&F are always subject to scrutiny and are most definitely sinners. And, yes Satan is responsible for everything depending on the cong. If it has a Pentecostal flavor then most certainly. I was in an Episcopal flavored cong and the Devil wasn't as responsible there as he was else where. If you live in Florida where there is a strong Baptist and Pentecostal influence then it would explain your view.

  Have you noticed how they all hide each others sins too? The recent child abuse scandal at our local hall wasn't mentioned to me by ANY of my JW family - I had to hear it from someone else. Why? Because they don't want me knowing what goes on...they have to present this "perfect" face to everyone who is not JW.

  Its called "not bringing reproach upon Jehovah's name" - in other words "hide any scandals, stick up for the brothers and make it look like the worldly people's fault".

  When JWs sin, its a case of them being so imperfect...etc. and if I dare raise my voice in annoyance, I'm called a sinner - spawn of Satan!

  First of all I feel for anybody who has been raped or abused. But I was wondering if the majority of you guys retarded or something. What is wrong with you people??? You are so positive are you all on prozac??? I bet you don't even go to the meetings. Why don't you belly ache to the elder's. Or are you afraid of them because you lead false lives.
  I don't mean to be heartless, but everyone has a mouth and hopefully brains,Go to the police. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. It is the parents responsibilty to help their children. I feel bad for Erica from Dateline, but she doesn't have to get on the news to imprison this man. She should have written the society and told them everything about the elder's who were not listening to her and prosecute the pervert that hurt her so badly.
  At least the presentation of the WTS was coherent. All they got from the Pope when he was so apparently upset was a nod and a snore.
  At least Society is going to crack down, instead of paying off everyone like other religions do or transfer them to a new church.
  I had problems to and the elder's and the watchtower society took care of the problem and kicked a certain loser out of the congregation. The elder's can't tell you every move and detail you need to make. That is why we are not robots. No organization is perfect. Jesus was the only perfect man.
  Yes and Jehovah will take care of the guilty ones. Prosecute these perverts. How many times can a rapist and pedophile be killed or tortured by you loving kind people???? Jehovah also will take care of the ones slandering his name. If you don't believe in him then go be a junkie, fornicator, loser, thief, apostate(major losers).
  Worship false Gods and cry in your own vomit. If you don't want to worship him get off your butt and hit the bricks and quit wasting his time. You are dust on his feet. So instead of crying, do something good for others stop making Satan happy with your pro-Satan attitude.
  Kids need to talk to a parent, teacher, friend. Someone they can trust and make their voice be heard!!!
