Yep...that was the topic discussed in a recent public talk!

The speaker went on about how a "god of love, along with his organisation, would never threaten people with punishment and hell!"

What!!!??? Talk about hypocrisy! The very foundation of jw teachings are "if you don't follow us perfectly, you will be killed violently at the big A!"

How do all the head-nodding audience members hearing these comments not see the hypocrisy?

    Good point, stuckin.

Cofty has a thread Islam's Psychotic Obsession with Hell that has video clip of an audience listening to the sick spiel of a Muslim preacher going on about hell. I heard the sermon but it was watching the audience and remembering sitting myself sitting through the bullshit indoctrination of white-washed hate that I tolerated and brought my children to hear, too.

I was struck at the same thing you mention here--the threat of a vengeful God (of love?) terrorizing and killing unbelievers and the unfaithful. It is grossly hypocritical for them not to see it is the SAME!

I'm serious, you need to get out of there.

Everything you see and hear makes you sick.

    It's time.

When christendoms religions says or does something its proof they dont have Gods blessing , their false religion .

When jehovahs witnesses do something comparable its evidence of jehovahs backing the"true religion"

jehovahs witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth , they have a forked tongue . ( much like the original serpent I guess )

I have always found it impossible to accept that innocent people will be destroyed at Armageddon simply because they are not convinced that JW's have "the truth." When I came to the realization that the Armageddon mentioned in the Bible is a judgement on Satan's system rather than a permanent judgement on individuals, everything began to make more sense

We can help you come up with an exit plan. There are loads of different ways to make the next step, but you have to have it right in your head what you're going to do. Skip a few meetings and wind down, cold turkey and stop going all together, just miss the services meetings, etc.

Once you decide how you will stop going to meetings you need to decide how to deal with elders phonecalls, meetings and "encouragement". There are plenty of good one liners to keep them at bay and then they may just forget about you. Alternatetively you may want a JC and record it to tell them all about the things you have learned, that can be cathartic for many, but ends in D'fing or D'aing.

Instead of Hell in the Wt. it is Armageddon and DFing as the cruel psychological tools used.
