Its becoming clear that the Borg has plans to sell off as much property and Kingdom Halls as possible. They will even make it a pain in the ass for believers to get to halls but they don't care!!! They have seen the results of lawsuits against the Catholic Church in the 100 of millions of dollars. Entire parishes have had to declare bankruptcy, did not the one in New York city?? So the Borg is trying to head off the losses at the pass by selling off as much as they can cramming people into sardine can KH's. Then they will take all this cash and do their best to hide if far away from the lawyers of the victims of Pedophilea. So sell, sell and sell , they will go. I predict that the events that have been announced regarding selling off KH in the UK and Spain will be announced in the US, soon, possibly this weekend!
Sell Sell and Sell off some more, the real reason for all the consolidation?

Hey they can put all that $$ in Swiss and Caymen accounts and visit it from their cruise ship that never docks in "hostile" countries.

Aggreed.
I wonder how far they would consider unreasonable travel time to the KH?
Twenty minutes? an hour? I'd be interested to see where they draw the line.
Where I live there are five congregations (small) with three separate halls with greatest
distance travel time being about half an hour.
That doesn't seem feasable even to me.
They could easy create three congs and sell two halls if they want to downsize
for the sake of liquidating some assets.

They would have to be having some kind of preparation for a possible shit storm of law suits. Surely.
Would this be like the mafia saying "go to the mattresses" ?

Well, they've always liked to pepper the year book and WT with stories of people that make a 6 hour hike across swamps and rivers to make it to meetings...they'd probably just ramp up on those (and work a few into the study articles and KM) before they finalize the sell-off and make the R/F feel guilty (that's right in their wheelhouse) for complaining about an hour drive to the meetings.

If they have left the Kingdom Halls in local ownership and control, then the KHall property would only be at risk in lawsuits if the perpetrator was an appointed man in the Cong having ownership. Thus, their seizing of KHall ownership (if that is what has happened) could be nothing more than a plan of liquidation and money grabbing.

Funny how not too long ago, the reason given to eliminate the Book Study was due to the high cost of gas.

They use to point out how other religions were selling off their churches as a sign that Babylon's waters were drying out due to a lack of support from dwindling membership...how will they spin it in their own case?
