I read on the secure elder part of jw.org that gazprom is the new suplier of energy to the WTS.
They use a collective contract for discount reasons.
So the king of the north is heating the kingdom hall.

As a business they will seek the best deal , wherever it may be found. It has nothing to do with politics or ideology, just business.
NB if they had a contract with AT & T for communication stuff (American Telephone & Telegraph Co.) would that be hunkering down winth the King of the South? Russia is not the proven King of the North anyway

Gazprom is owned by yhe rRussian government. The same government that makes the life of jw's difficult and wanted to shut down jw.org.
It's all about corporate governance.
