Ehud is an inspiration to religious zealots in the 21st century who believe the Lord, God or Allah has instructed them to kill other humans.

The horror we feel in reaction to ISIS is an old, old story in the Old Testament/Hebrew Scriptures: Mad men streaming through the land with swords in hands, killing all who do not submit - and, on occasion, killing even when the vanquished peoples dubmit.
