All, It is time for each of us to stand in unity. Please post your letters to Dateline here. There is strength in numbers. There is no reason why we should not have at least 500 letters here by tomorrow. Let's add some coal to the fire! Let's get Dateline's attention. Let's get the Societies attention. You know they visit this site.

    Concerning:

On Dateline Tuesday, correspondent John Larson investigated what steps Jehovah’s Witness members take when allegations of cases of child molestation occur in the Church.

    Dear Mr. Larson,

First of all thank you for your unbiased coverage of this story as a neutral party. I feel that this is the beginning for the setting of so many wrongs, right. My opinion is not so biased however. I have been part of this organization (Jehovah’s Witnesses) for 18 years. I truly believe that each individual of the Watch Tower headquarters if asked would say that they abhor child abuse in honesty. The organization (Governing Body) as a whole, however projects a much different stance. The will or spirit of the individual, which generally makes the right decision, is transferred to the will or spirit of the ORGANIZATON. In the name of “unity” much is overlooked by many organizations. While I have learned many good things over the years and have become a better student overall of the Bible because of my association with Jehovah’s Witnesses I openly admit that the harm that the ORGANIZATION imposes long-term on its members is detrimental. In fact and reality the members are not permitted to think for themselves. Everything is tightly controlled. If an individual openly acknowledges something which deviates from the doctrine of the WTBS then that individual is subject to disciplinary action as you have learned first hand. I don’t know if you knew that Barbara Anderson was disfellowshipped just prior to the program being shown and you can be sure that Bill Bowen is next. This act in and of itself by the WTBS speaks volumes with regard to the credibility of those brave souls which stood up in defense of others. It also displays their need to hide their neglect of such abhorrence’s within the congregations. The sole reason for these individuals taking such a stand was and is to protect children first and secondly to promote reform within the organization. Because of the haughty spirit of those on the Governing Body no changes will be made. This is evident from their position thus far. The fact that this program aired on Tuesday night was a real prayer being answered for the Watchtower Society because most of the one million members in this country were conveniently sheltered from seeing the program because they were at the meeting. I hope that you get a huge response from this program and that Dateline might consider showing it again on Friday or Sunday night. Thank you again for your fine work. It is only through continued pressure that reform is made.

PS. I am leaving the organization.

    Regards,

This is my email to them:
Thank you so much for airing this wonderful piece of journalism. I believe your program will help that organization to clean up their act, or face MORE public outrage at their ridiculous policies on pedophiles.

Erica Garza was just amazing. I am so much in awe of her courage in standing up to be sure her abuser was put in prison, even though she had to be shunned and abused again, by her lifelong friends. When she emotionally called them 'liars', I was just cheering. What a lady!!

I hope you run this show again, and would like to suggest you do it on a Friday or Sunday show. Tuesday night is a typical meeting night for Jehovah's witnesses, and it was also the NBA playoffs, and the shows were moved around into different time slots, so I fear many who should have seen it, missed it.

I was raised from the age of 4 as a Jehovah's witness, but stopped attending about 5 years ago, over doctrinal issues. This situation is just frosting on my cake. Thank you again, for a GREAT show. John Larson is just great!!!

Thank you for presenting a very even handled program
into a most sensitive topic. The free press (media) is a
foundation of our society and your investigation resulted
in providing a heretofore unavailable, to a practicing Witness,
public forum to air this issue.

Sadly those faithful witnesses that spoke out have been
excommunicated from their faith and are being shunned by
their former fellow worshipers and even their families.

It seems that this "us against them" cult mentality is what
leads to the "covering over" of these horrible situations.
The Watchtower faith teaches that they alone are the only
true religion therefore fostering the "we can't be like them so
we must hide the TRUTH" and persecute anyone who deviates
ever so slightly form the party doctrine. The WT is extremely
intolerant of any other religious views other than their own
    "God directed" viewpoints.

    Very best regards,
