Yes, but recent statements by the Org effectively say that we are 'freelance', e.g. anyone using a trolley for preaching is totally responsible for liability insurance, permits etc. Nothing to do with us Gov, these folks have chosen to do this as a demonstration of their personal faith!

The Org seems to be alienating the R & F in legal cases by stating that a certain pedophile was NOT an appointed agent of the Org - only appointed men are 'agents'!

I very clearly remember the days when we were always told that the we needed to keep in mind that if any authority ever came to us questioning who the minister was (as in we are need to talk to him) that then we needed to say that we are all ministers and never give up information about our elders to the police. This days they don't repeat that anymore but there is certainly a push to separate themselves from any liability but keep themselves tied to all income.. I meant to say, donations.

Bang up to date quote :

    Kingdom Ministry, January 2015

    Keep Progressing as a Minister

Christians should progress as ministers. That is why Jesus gave his followers progressive training in the preaching work. (Luke 9:1-5; 10:1-11) It is also why Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos into their company and “explained the way of God more accurately to him.” (Acts 18:24-26) For the same reason, Paul encouraged the experienced evangelizer Timothy to continue applying himself to his teaching, so that his advancement would be “plainly seen by all people.” (1 Tim. 4:13-15) No matter how long we have been slaving for the Lord as publishers of the good news, we need to continue sharpening our preaching skills.

    Luke 9:1-5
    Jesus Sends Out the Twelve

9 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. 4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. 5 If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

Compare the BIG DIFFERENCES in the Jehovah's Witness version and the instructions in the scripture version.

I have used red to point out what JW'S do NOT do.

It is rather astounding what is actually ignored.

    _______________________________

In Luke 10: 7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.

NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE in the JW version and the scripture version WORDING here:

It is also why Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos into their company and “explained the way of God more accurately to him.”

    ON THE CONTRARY:

In Acts 18: 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.

    DID YOU SPOT THE CHANGE?

He was already teaching ACCURATELY. What he was given was a more ADEQUATE explanation.

    The JW version reverses that.
