    1) The Bible tells us there will be one flock under Christ! (John 10:16)

JW.ORG tells us there are two! - "Today, the vast majority of the eight million disciples of Jesus are not spirit-anointed. They have not received the talents that Jesus gave to his anointed slaves." - WT March 15 2015, p.28 par.11

    2) The Bible tells us there is one hope! (Ephesians 4:4)

JW.ORG tells us there are two hopes! - ".....those who would rule with him in heaven, and...those who hope to live on earth." - WT March 15 2015, p.26 par.5

    "Rulership for Some, Benefits for Many" - w09 4/1 p. 11

    3) The Bible tells us there is one way to have our sins forgiven! (John 1:29)

JW.ORG tells us there are two ways! - "...by dying they paid the penalty for their sinfulness. - WT95 11/15 p.19 par. 17

    4) The Bible tells us there is one mediator between men and God! (1 Tim. 2:5)

JW.ORG tells us that there are 7! (at present) - "....the "other sheep" must remain in close union with "the faithful and discreet slave," Christ’s anointed "brothers." Only thus can they hope to ‘inherit the Kingdom prepared for them from the founding of the world.’" - w83 8/15 p. 23 par. 14

" They recognize, however, that Christ is using a small group of anointed Christian men as a Governing Body to lead and direct his disciples on earth." - w10 9/15 p. 27 par. 10

"Jehovah has committed the ministry of reconciliation to the anointed." - w98 12/15 p. 18 par. 10

"It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision." - w57 6/15 p. 370 par. 7

    5) The Bible tells us there is one seed! (Galatians 3:16)

    JW.ORG tells us there are 144,000 + 1!

"If sufficient fleshly Israelites had followed the Law covenant as a "tutor leading to Christ [the primary Seed of Abraham]," they could have supplied the entire 144,000 members of the secondary seed of Abraham...." w83 8/15 p. 15 par. 8

Contradicted by, "The promise to Abraham that all the families of the earth would bless themselves in his "seed" could not have included all of Abraham’s offspring as his "seed..." it-2 p. 888 Seed

David ( bullet-head) Splane just gave some talk about types and anti-types. His point was that we should keep silent when the Bible does not teach something. Of course, secondary this and modern day-that, all stem from Adventism. Take that away and Jwism is erased from existence. The WTBTS needs 2 classes of Xians to survive. They need to speculate on secondary groups and classes. Without speculation and the shelving of interpretations to be released at a later date, MOTHER dies. DD

Its Plain and simple this religion is not a christian religion. Jesus is just a character in the story thats in the way. I am not sure what you call a religion that wants you to just serve and obey the men running it infact they want worship because they claim they have been given this authority. Oh yeah IT A CULT!

The jw religion is mostly about the Governing body right now in their entirety. The true mediator hardly even gets mentioned. And the only time (mostly) he is centered around a public discourse is during the Memorial. Meanwhile, the "faithful and discreet slave" are alluded to every meeting.

The Bible teaches Nothing At All !!! People will tell you that it "teaches", or sometimes the milder "says" what they want you to believe.

People will tell you that it "teaches", or sometimes the milder "says", what they want you to believe.

The Bible is a Library (the clue is in the name|) of the writings of forty or so different guys over Centuries, each from his own time and culture, each with his own Theology, and most importantly each with his own agenda.

The JW method of interpreting this mish-mash is to take verses from different writings and say they prove their point. This makes as much sense as me taking a few sentences from Plutarch, some from Shakespear and a couple more from Harry Potter and say that the collected words of wisdom prove something.

If you really wish to understand what a particular Bible writer is saying, you have to learn all about his time, his agenda, his theology etc as well as his knowledge of certain things. Then you have to realise that he may not agree with other writings in this rather eclectic collection.

The WT/JW religion is headed by people who have scant knowledge of Bible exegesis, and are not interested, all they are interested in is perpetuating the myth that they have the truth. Which is the opposite of the truth of the matter.

That is a great post Phizzy!

Yes, saying that "the bible teaches" is an empty way that someone uses when trying to push their own take on something.

The greatest difference between Watchtower Religion and most Christians is Grace. The Governing Body has shown since I can remember "Salvation is not free" and bombard Witnesses with uncertainity by rejecting the concept of "Getting Saved" by believing in Jesus Christ! As pointed out by various apologist against Fred Franz bogus NWT, its a fact the Organization wanted people in fear! What good is a Witness if they have faith that Jesus died for their sins? That's why Fast Freddy thrieved off making JWs lives a living hell! The Watchtower is like Simon Magus of Acts 8, the Magician who loved glory and almost got cursed by Peter. According to Acts 8:18

There is nothing in the Greek that allows or justify's "excersise" or any way of conveying anything beyond "belief". Is that why the Watchtower changed John 3:16 and puts focus on James words about "faith and works"?

8 When Simon perceived that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money. 19 He said, “Give me this authority too so that anyone on whom I lay my hands will receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 Peter responded, “May your money be condemned to hell along with you because you believed you could buy God’s gift with money! 21 You can have no part or share in God’s word because your heart isn’t right with God.22 Therefore, change your heart and life! Turn from your wickedness! Plead with the Lord in the hope that your wicked intent can be forgiven, 23 for I see that your bitterness has poisoned you and evil has you in chains.”

New World Translation Pseudo Scholars removal of Grace to "how to work towards Salvation".

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only‐begotten Son, in order that everyoneexercising faithin him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

One writer caputure's this perfectly and shows how twisted the NWT are!

It would be akin to taking something written like the following:

“The wife really loved her husband.”

and purposely altering it to read the following:

“The wife really worked at loving her husband.”

Did that change the meaning entirely? Yes it did. The wife went from truly loving her husband to having towork at loving her husband who, quite obviously, wasn’t very loveable without her constant effort to do so.

    Do you get that nuance?

Let’s take a look, and I promise I won’t bore you, at the actual Greek word for “believe” here translated by the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society as “exercising faith”.

The Greek word is pisteuōn which is always translated as “believe” or “having faith” by other translators. The same Greek word is shown in the following scripture. I’m including the New World Translation of that word so that you can see the obvious mistranslation of this key phrase in John 3:16 which they quote often to justify their works based theology."

"...Why would the Watchtower change the meaning of the word in John chapter 3, in multiple cases rendering it as “exercising faith” and in other areas of the New World Translation render it as “believing” or “having faith”?

The reason is this: John 3:16 is such a popular scripture in the minds of most Christians that the Watchtower translators, aka Fred Franz, felt compelled to change it. To leave it as all other translators have rendered it would be to admit that simply believing in Christ is the only thing required of the Christian for salvation.

Can you see where the Watchtower’s own adherents would start questioning their works based path to salvation if John 3:16 wasn’t severely altered in meaning to include works as part of their salvation?..."
