New Zealand Hearld this morning.
A judge has stopped the children of a JW from going to church and attending witness meetings and allowed them to attend birthday parties and christams celebrations.
The high court ruling comes after the childrens seperated parents appealed against the family court orders regarding custody details.
I think the WTS will push this to the supreme court.

This is good news. Glad the kids can have a halfway normal childhood, but the JW parent will ruin it by making them feel guilty about celebrating holdidays. No fun allowed in JWland!
How old are the children? Legally they must not be able to make religious decisions on their own in NZ. Courts try to balance a child's exposure to religion to accommodate both parents beliefs.
There are no XIAN/religious children, just XIAN/religious adults. Religion should be an option that is never forced upon a child.
