I don't know about the rest of you, but the last several weeks have slowly been building with the Dateline segment airing. The excitement, tension, and "butterflies" have been pretty exhausting as a spectator. I can only imagine what it's been like for those personally involved like Bill, Erica, Barbara, Pandelos and dozens of others. Seriously, I believe all of this (along with work, wedding plans, church mission trip, and finances) has contributed to the stress that triggered my migraine on Monday. I'm sure Amazing is also re-tracing his steps as to what triggered his heart attack Monday.
The last two days I have pretty much "lived" on this board as well as Kent's, Yahoo JW rooms, and my hotmail. I can't seem to get enough of what's going on - I feel like a total internet junkie. It's almost ridiculous! But I'd like to take a moment to tell you what I'm going to do starting today.
1. Rejoice that the Dateline segment aired! The REAL Truth is out! Enjoy the moment.
2. Get to work. I should be doing reports, but this child abuse issue has consumed me to the point I'm not doing what I'm supposed to in Real Life.
3. Enjoy my family! Neil, my puppies, his cats, his parents, our friends. If I can't hug them or tell them "I love you" in person, then I will call them and tell them that. They need to hear it and I need to say it.
I do not want to minimize the importance of what has been accomplished this week, but for me I need a healthy distraction - even if only for a little while. I need laughter, sunshine, a cool breeze, a good glass of wine, and the company of good friends. I need a break!
Working our a**es off for the sake of these innocent victims is wonderful! Working our a**es off for the sake of outing the Truth about the Society is wonderful! But the last several weeks/days has probably taken it's toll on you. I know it has for me. So I'm taking a bit of a sabbatical from the board. I'm not leaving forever, just taking a vacation to LIVE! That means not even lurking. I am going to recommend that y'all do the same - however you decide to do it, doesn't matter. Just get out there and LIVE!
