She DID work in that department. That's how she knows.

: and how many cases were discovered?

    Why don't you ask her?

It's my understanding that not only did she work in the research department, but she was requested by some "senior official" to look up these cases. What she discovered disturbed her a lot, from what I gather.

She is identified as a researcher for the Watchtower in the early 90s when this request was made, according to the Dateline report. Who requested, I have never heard.

    Realist,

This was a surprise to me when I heard it, too. Silly old me, I thought that women didn't hold positions of responsibility. Well, maybe not publically... Imagine my chagrine to learn that this (gasp) WOMAN actually wrote articles for the magazines!

Once Simon The Bandwidth Miser turns the search features back on, look for posts by AlanF and JT (I believe). They'll provide names of big shots at Bethel who can verify her position, and tell you that there were other women at Toronto Bethel with similar responsibilities.

    Farkel, what a good idea...

Ms Anderson, can you share how many cases you did discover? I've seen figures like 27,720 or so, but I thought that Bill was projecting numbers based on an assumption of an average of X molesters per cong. I didn't know he had a Bethel Heavy on his side

Obviously, I'm not asking you to divulge anything confidential, or that would harm further work. Feel free to say "None of your dang business!"

    Hmmm

She sure seemed like an intelligent, together lady.

No wonder the borg had to get rid of her.

In the eyes of my JW relatives, Ms. Anderson's testimony was questioned because they swear that NO woman would be allowed privy to confidential information. They too, took issue with the fact that she referred to the congregation as "church." What's funny is that I just read the WTS letter to Dateline and they used the term "church."

When promoting the Stand Firm-Video and the exhibition in Germany, WTS-officials regularly refer to JW as a "church".
