Had a conversation with long-serving Witness today. Here's how it went:
Me - During Christ's 1000 years reign, would anyone ever be allowed to beat you up and rob you?
JW - No.
Me - Are you sure?
JW - Of course, because Isaiah 11:9 says "They will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain, Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah."
Me - I agree. And also, Revelation 19:15 says, "...and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron..." But could it be possible that Christ would let you get beaten up & robbed, and then punish the wrongdoer?
JW - No of course not - he won't allow any evil acts under his rule.
Me - I agree 100%, and yet the Org's teaching means that bad things must be allowed to happen, and then he'll deal with the offender, because (paraphrased the teaching) according to the Org's reasoning of John 5:29 ".....those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment", Jesus was talking about resurrected ones future sins - during his 1000 years rule!
wt chap. 9 p. 87 par. 14 - "None of these unrighteous ones are raised simply to be judged worthy of death again.... In the righteous environment that will prevail earth wide under God’s Kingdom....They will be "judged individually according to their deeds" performed after their resurrection."
JW - You're just playing with words!
Indoctrinated persona overpowers logic and the Bible. Sigh!
