On a few posts here and there I've noticed some of the people on the board have been able to create their own careers without working the dreaded fulltime hours. I've been wanting to do this for years but I don't have a clue as to how to get started.
I've really wanted to get into the field of real estate development. Since I was a kid I've had an intense love for architechture but at this stage in my life I don't have the time or money to go back to school. But from what I've read up on real estate development I can still make use of my creativity and basically design homes with the aid of a architechture and construction staff. This appears to be a very profitable business but I have no clue as to how to get started in doing something like this.
Does anyone here have experience on what steps are needed in building up a business from scratch?
Also what are some decent jobs that require less than 40 hours a week?
Just as a bit of background info, I'm currently working in the IT field. I've been involved with this type of work for about 6 or 7 years now and while I do enjoy it there does'nt appear to be much available in part time employment. The pay in IT has been pretty good for me but I just desire more time to pursue other interests outside of work.
thanks for any suggestions
