PUT AWAY YOUR MICROSCOPE

I admit...I went to a session at the assembly. My parents were at my house, and I felt obligated to go for at least one session.

Anyway, what totally appalled me was what was said in one of the talks. It started out talking about things that are said outside of the confines of the society. It talked about the media (Dateline, without saying it) and the propaganda on the internet. The speaker went on to state that if we were to put under a microsope a piece of glass (ie. a knick knack) we would find many cracks. But just because we would find cracks does not mean that the knick knack was worthless......then put the microscope down.

HELLO!!! It is true...to put many things under the microscope...we would be appalled. But to state that we should put the microscope away as far as our Biblical beliefs is appalling...(at least to me).

I have lived so many years hearing the society bashing other religions for their stance (on anything). I am not about to accept that we should put our microscopes away when it comes to "the truth".

These people are sick mind controllers at it's best.

They might as well have said, "bury your head in the sand, and the things that make you uncomfortable will go away."

Ignorance is sad. Willful ignorance is stupidity at work.

They have no problem keeping "the microscope" on everyone else. It just gets a little too touchy for them to be analyzed.

Amazing......and think about just how many people walked away and really took that to heart and accepted it w/out even blinking an eye! Truely sad.....

Isn't it amazing when they are preparing people for attending assemblies, how they go on and on and on about how they have to put on a good show for the press, and how - according to 1Cor4:9 - they are "a theatrical spectacle to the world". On the one hand, they are saying "expect to be subjected to the scrutiny of others", yet when it actually happens, they say "oh poor us poor us! We're being persecuted! Put your microscopes away!"
