Is Morrissey a JW?

I love Morrissey, actually. Recently it occurred to me that some of his lyrics reflect the JW mindset pretty well. Note "every day is like sunday" lyrics below (bolded for emphasis):

    Trudging slowly over wet sand
Back to the bench where your clothes were stolen
    This is the coastal town
That they forgot to close down
    Armageddon - come Armageddon!
    Come, Armageddon! Come!

    Everyday is like Sunday
    Everyday is silent and grey

    Hide on the promenade
    Etch a postcard :
"How I Dearly Wish I Was Not Here"In the seaside town
    ...that they forgot to bomb
Come, Come, Come - nuclear bomb

    Everyday is like Sunday
    Everyday is silent and grey

Trudging back over pebbles and sand
And a strange dust lands on your hands
    (And on your face...)
    (On your face ...)
    (On your face ...)
    (On your face ...)

    Everyday is like Sunday
    "Win Yourself A Cheap Tray"
Share some greased tea with me
    Everyday is silent and grey

Not as far as I know, but I do know that he was good friends with Viv Nicholson, y'know the "spend, spend, spend" lady who became a witness.

I was looking for a religion and now I found a religion, and heaven knows I'm miserable now!

Ouija board, ouija board, will you work for me?

I think that settles the issue.

Neil, I tend to agree with your analysis. Perhaps the odd thing was put into some songs when he was talking with Viv, probably to take the p*ss.

Amac....the ouija board bit was when he turned apostate?!
