Please tell Jose and Lorena that was an incredible story.
Also, please give Jose a message for me. Tell him I hope he has recovered every bit of pride the WT stripped him of; he deserves to take pride in his accomplishments and hold his head high!

It was those same sets of magazines that had me shaking my head doctrinally, too, although it took a gross lack of love situation to finally push me out the door.
I really liked how Jose made the point in his DF letter that 'the Organization' itself does not have any human feelings and thus cannot be betrayed and should not be worshipped. It is a tool used by human beings -- the Governing Body -- to impose its will and its Pharisaical rules on the worldwide brotherhood. Therefore, the Organization is not truly wicked. It is those at the top that deserve that characterization.
(Of course the local 'friends' who turned their back on Jose and Lorena once he stepped down as elder but before they DA'd themselves certainly could be characterized as mean-spirited!)
