First of all, if you are offended by me saying "Another one bites the dust," my apologies.

I just can't think of better words for what happens when some one dies after they have sold their soul to a printing company.

My Uncle Tom passed away yesterday morning in Buffalo NY. He was very ill, confined to a wheelchair for the last 10-15 years of his life. He had MS.

Tom married my Aunt about 18 years ago. Almost immediately he got MS. What a terrible turn of events this was for both of them, as she was about 50 years old when she married him and he was about 40.

She was a good JW girl who was the stereotypical JW sister for her age group. She has been in attendance at every major assembly ever held...Yankee Stadium, etc. Reg. Pio'd for years.

He was Catholic. They worked together and eventually he converted to JW.

    Now is the interesting part.

Tom was an Elder, very 'spiritually strong.' My aunt, too. She has been shunning me for some years now, practically hanging up on me when I call, but not rudely. She just says, "You know I can't talk to you. I love you but I love Jehovah more.....

    To be continued....

I live in Buffalo. Don't think I knew Tom though.

I personally am not offended by your use of "Another one bites the dust". Sometimes the only way to deal with this crap is with humor and/or sarcasm.

I can't tell how close you were to your Uncle Tom, but like you said, what do you say when someone has given their own life away? It is sad he had to deal with MS, and so close after losing his wife.

    ((Hugs)) to you, Lisa.

Well, three of my relatives have bit the dust since October....I would rather say that....

{{{LDH}}} I often wonder what is going to happen when my mother dies. If the funeral is at the KH they'll have to have me arrested to not show up. The WTS pisses me off sometimes with their brand of ignorance.

She just says, "You know I can't talk to you. I love you but I love Jehovah more.....

I don't particularly want to be flammed over this but that is actually a nicer way of saying it then most of the phrases that I've heard used.
