...a week without internet access! (gasp)
I moved into my new home last weekend. No cable available here, I had to go with DSL. The phone company told me my "connection completion date" was June 25th. Found my modem on the porch Wednesday and hooked everything up, but, no access.
Came in this evening and (blessed event! Thankya, Lawd) saw the "dsl" light on the modem glowing happy bright green. Woohoo! I is back! ...and not permanently damaged by the wrenching withdrawal pangs. :)
Congratulations on your new home COMF. I read your other post when you conveyed the story about how you went about purchasing the home, and was heartwarmed to see that things worked out for you.
I am also pleased to see that you survived a week of Internet withdrawal.

We did notice that you've been "inactive". Several of the friends have been dispatched to secure your guilt ridden expressions with crest fallen excuses. You are, of course, expected to make it up to us. We want lots of scintillating posts laced with lashings of humility. Some reassurance that it won't happen again would be nice OR Three Hail Mary's and twice around the Rosary beeds!

Hey, 41! Actually, yes, it does mean that, although I haven't figured out which one yet. There are two extra rooms. One of them has built-in shelves and would be a perfect study and computer room. Then too, there's my gym equipment, which won't be going in the garage... I don't work out well in 120 degree heat... and the drumset, which is presently in the formal dining room drum room, but which needs to be moved elsewhere... but you and FP come on over. I'll fit you in somewhere!
