I was just thinking back to my KH days and religion in general, and what boggles my mind as a non God believer is how people need and want to WORSHIP what they believe? I just can never see myself wanting or needing this! It just freaks me out man. But I always say that everybody is different (Some more than others) and try to look at things from the other side which gives me some understanding of this. But thats just me!

It doesn't take a tree surgeon to recognize the peoples that will live forever. The ones that cast aside all belief in the etherial and tend to the needs of their surroundings, like the planet, human genetics, the millions of diseased/starving, but most and foremost the human intellect, will outlive the needy ones and their good books for millenia to come.

I keep being reminded of man's inherent need to worship. Do I feel an overwhelming urge to prostrate myself in front of God, fawning and wailing in appreciation of the gift of life? Do I really have to? It's just not me, it's not my thing at all.
Not that I'm not showing appreciation or anything, but at this stage of my life I'm finding it hard to be grateful for the life that I've had. Or perhaps I'm just a dumbass whiner. Ask me again some other time when I'm not feeling sorry for myself!

Again I must remind myself that the unwholesomeness of these impure thoughts must be flushed from my noodle! This is what happens to me when Beer Smurf falls off my Sub Woofer, my conscience does bother me and Jehovah gets in my head! I do recall smoking a joint on Saturday night and did not realize the affect it has had on me this week, repentance will commence on the weekend!
