Is it true that the society has done away with blood cards?.......And if so how do you know?

It's true. I was there when they made the announcement. JWs are supposed to use their old cards until further notice.

Does that mean that they have done away with blood cards? Or just didn't have them ready for the conventions?
* Of course, if they didn't have them ready for the conventions, one would have to wonder why a printing company cannot get the cards printed in time for to meet their own schedule(s).. [But I digress, as that would only be speculation]

Could this possibly be related to the evolution (pardon that satanic term) of the blood issue. Probably, after not getting the blood cards for a couple of years, they will be told to keep them based on their conscience.

Jehovah's Witnesses are still required to carry the No Blood Card. They will still have the one that was signed at the beginning of 2001 though. No instructions have been given to them as to them being scrapped.

Actually they are pushing the Health Care Power of Attorney as a better document to use. Many JWs have it copied and reduced in size and carry it in their purse and/or vehicle glove compartment. They are also told to file a copy with their doctor and clinic file as well as give a copy to the elders.
