i knew it was coming
i saw the red sky
but it wouldn't be rushed
it took its sweet time
pleasantly unpredictable
out of nowhere
an eerie quiet
then suddenly
thunder. lightening. wind. rain.
rumble. clap.
expresses with varying intensity
that which i cannot
bolts and flashes
memories
whispers of hope
in the wind through the trees
a million things
sight sound smell
of pelting wind-whipped rain.
i watch the spectacular disarray
wonderfully in touch
i just feel again
momentarily
i am lost in my senses
or is it found?
the rain subsides.
the wind settles.
the birds chirp.
i am purged.
i love a storm.
