  On MSNBC and on Fox, right now is Leslie Van Houten....she is having a parole hearing.

  They just discussed the murders of the LaBianca's...she went into vivid detail on how she stabbed the wife and the sounds that the husband was making as he died.

  She is very articulate and old. She was 19 when the Manson gang murdered the LaBianca's and Sharon Tate. She has done this 14 times, trying to make parole. She admitted stabbing the wife 14-16 times and does not know if the wife was alive or dead when she started stabbing. The other member, Tex, had already stabbed the wife.

  Very creepy. I have never seen a parole hearing. This is gruesome!

  Very disturbing.

  I need to add, these murders happened in 1969. Charles Manson went on a killing spree with his group of followers.

  She is saying that she is very sorry and deeply ashamed for what she did. She has gone through every psych test imaginable and they say she is no longer a threat to society. She said her heart aches from what she did because she caused so much pain.

  After they killed the LaBianca's they burned their clothing to hide what they did. Then they moved around S.California to hide.

  Charles Manson is still alive and hopefully will never get parole. He sounds mentally ill. (obviously) His Helter Skelter plan was to perpetuate a racial war. (the parole person is asking her how this could cause a race war?) In the 70's after being convicted she still believed his theory that he was Jesus Christ and he did not allow individual thinking or questioning. She said she firmly believed this theory.

  She just said she does not know if she killed the wife or just "contributed" to her murder, by holding her down and then stabbing her some more.

  My question is: would you parole her?

  The news people said the final decision rests with the governor and he is unlikely to approve her parole.

  I put on Court TV and they have covered her last 3-5 hearings. They said she has been a model prisoner, earned two college degrees, has helped tutor other prisoners and has helped in drug and alcohol counseling.

  The big question is will she be a risk to society.

  They just said she and the other two women were going to "drink the soup" for Manson and allow him to get off by taking all the blame. Van Houten's attorney said no, his client would not.

  The attorney was murdered! They said that it was linked to Manson's group! (I did not know that)

  I do remember hearing as a kid that Manson was Satan and demonized and that even saying or reading the words Helter Skelter could bring on the demons to your home. My mom would turn off the news anytime they talked about Manson!

  I remember the time that Manson carved a swastika into his forehead just before his parole hearing, just to, you know, show the parole board what a fine, upstanding type guy he was...

  OOPPS!! I honestly meant that she "looks" very old. Sorry, I did not mean that to be offensive.

  She looks like she has alot of sun damage. Very wrinkled.

  Hey Puffs, don't say she is all that old. I am a year older than she is,

  But, I personally don't think any of the Manson clan should even be considered for parole. Manson still has followers running around, although very few. Those few still cling to the thought he is Jesus.

  At the time of the murders, I was still in Vietnam. Our common feeling was in order to savbe the tax payers money, just release them in Vietnam and let them run loose. Of course, they wouldn't have lasted all that long.

  To show just how sick those people are, read up on whoever it was that killed Sharon tate and her unborn child. The description of watching the knife or fork, or whatever they used, twitch as the baby died is enough to convince me that there is a valid reason for the death penalty.

  Let them rot where they are.
