My First JW Wife

  Hi All,

  Yesterday was the aniversary of my first marriage. We were divorced 27 years ago, no children. It was a good marriage untill the last few months. Don't ask why she wanted a divorce, I still don't know. She went and had sex so I could be free to remarry and told the congregation and was DFed.

  This is a picture I made when I was making my own prints. She was born and raised in Roswell NM, but was living in Van Nuys Calif when we got married. Anyone know her?

  I hope the size will be right????

  Hi Seeker,

  I found the pictures in an old folder in my old briefcase that I used when I was the ministry school servant. It was in the top of one of my closets. There were several other pictures I had made back in 1968.

  Yes I did remarry and have lived happily since.

  Well, bless her heart... mine said nothing about it for what seemed like the longest time.

  Did she get reinstated? The thing I noticed about most JW marriages is that they aren't exactly happy affairs. Most everything done in the JW is on the surface. What ever was bothering her she obviously thought it was not her place to discuss it with you. With the whole submissive wife thing it only makes matters worse. Even if you had a great marriage I'm sure she felt psychological pressure to not discuss certain things with you despite how bad she may have wanted. According to my mother, divorce is almost commonplace now in the KH.

  Hi Gsx,

  I don't know if she ever went back to the org. or not. I haven't talked to her in 25 years. A few years ago I called her father and he said she had married again and comes to visit him in Co. several times a year. He died soon after I called. I was on the net and saw a phone number search program and looked up his number, I hadn't talked to him since the divorce. He said she was happy and I was glad it had worked out OK for her.

  Hi, Undecided. She was very pretty. Good pic. Don't know her, though.

  My husband #2 did the same thing. He left me and boinked an old girlfriend. Told the congregation and me right away. It was his way out...out of the marriage and out of jwdom. He made the mistake of coming back to me, though, so we ended up getting married again and getting reinstated. Talk about one step forward and ten backward. Second marriages to the same person seldom last and ours didn't.

  Hope that you have happiness now. I am happy that I don't have to deal with the fights anymore.
