LIAR LIAR LIAR!!!

  Can someone please tell me why pro-witness posters frequently tell other posters that they are lying? Xandit has just done it to Focus -who`s post was well researched and informative - Friday on H20 does it for a pastime, as do most of the pro witness brigade.

  I have to say that, in my experience, people who shout "LIAR!" have usually turned out to be persons who`s own truthfullness can often be called into question.

  Calling someone a liar is, in my book, a dire insult, and will result in a challenge to pistols at dawn if that particular form of abuse is ever pointed in my direction!

  Now, you J dubs, I know that you cant swear or curse or do any of the pressure relief stuff that normal folk can do, but, believe you me, shouting "LIAR!" every other post does your cause no good at all.

  Thank you! Englishman, I've said it before, and I'll say again here. I think we all took enough bashing when we were in the Watchtower. I see no need for it here. I think we need to respect each others opinions, whether we agree with them or not! No need for name calling or rudeness.

  Good point Englishmen,

  So far the following people have called me a liar and/or a mocker of Jehovah: MDS, Spectrum, and Logical. It is hard educate them in the fine art of rational discussion and civility. Xandit never did call me a liar, but he implied that I and others were ignorant hayseeds.

  How odd that Friend seems to have failed to run rings around such a dumbo. "The Truth" must be just so.. powerful, ain't it just?

  I have yet to see any serious refutation of info posted on "apostate" web sites about the WTS. Charges of "LIAR" have been leveled by JWs and the WTS itself, with little or no explanations or proof.

  On March the 1st, I posted a topic asking JW's to "answer me this". There were no replies backing the WTS.

  Wouldn't it seem that JW supporters who resort to insults to try to win the argument, are contradicting what their God commands? And not much evidence of Christian love with meekness and humility.

  "He that is looking for good will keep seeking goodwill; but as for the one searching for bad, it will come upon him" (Proverbs 11:27)

  "So really now, who will make me out a liar, Or reduce my word to nothing?" (Job 24:25)

  JWs are not the only "deliberatly oblivious" (thanks Xandit for the new definition) ones that turn to name calling when they are defenseless or have their back against the wall. I have dealt with Bible Students and other religions that turn to calling you a liar when they have nothing to back up what they believe or if you have nailed them to the wall with their lies.
