Near 10,000,000 Chinese high school students have just completed the two and one half day exam known as the Gaoko (College Entrance exam).

Some call on supernatural help during this stressful time. Buddhist temples are thronged, as are the temples dedicated to Kongzi, (Confucius) who is not regarded as a god, but as an immortal who could help. (Closest western analogy may be a Catholic/orthodox 'saint').
