    OWWWWWW!!! Mine eyes! Mine eyes! That was horrible, kinda like listening to Kid Rock.

    "We're Jehovah's Witnesses\ We speak loud and fearlessly\ Ours is the God of true proph-e-sy\ What he fortells comes to be"
    Hmm, maybe you are on to something.

    when i was a boy, we were evacuated from our home because of a train crash and the chemicals that were released.

    we stayed at the toronto assembly hall, i met the chap who wrote a lot of the kingdom melodies. he was a nice man.

    McGonagall was probably a "nice man" too - it didn't improve his work!

    I remember being shown some of his stuff in English, back when I was doing the Higher School Certificate. Spike Milligan actually did a film about him and his obsession with Queen Victoria. Spike also used him in The Goon Show - he had a crappy poet named William McGoonical introduce the odd show.

    Yeah, but you never know who the Muse is gonna inspire, just because She can!

    Consider these two verses from "The Moon":

    Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
    Thou cheerest the fox in the night,
    And lettest him see to steal the grey goose away
    Out of the farm-yard from a stack of hay.

    And then, the LAST VERSE...the verse that usually ties up the poem in a neat tidy law-abiding moral...

    Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
    Thou cheerest the poacher in the night;
    For thou lettest him see to set his snares
    To catch the rabbit and the hares.

    That's brilliantly subversive, that is. I think I'll go and do something similar, on purpose.
