I've been doing a lot of research lately and have found numerous articles (on the web) that cast Russell and Rutherford in a bad light. I've yet to run across anything negative about Knorr, other than he was responsible for organizing the preaching and teaching work on a worldwide scale, by setting up Gilead, etc. All of those things would be considered a good thing, and a loyal witness may argue that maybe Jehovah cleaned up the organization by having him in charge. Any thoughts on the matter?

A guy I know who was in Bethel when Knorr was there said he would spend lots of time locked up with new Bethelites teaching them how to take a leak without touching their wanks. I guess he misunderstood "touch not the unclean thing."
And he purchased a Pontiac because God had one. "He will persue you with his Tempest."

Room 215
Basically an austere, stern Dutch-uncle type, given to snap judgmens about people and with strong biases for and against individuals; a contradiction: puritanical and somewhat sex-obssessed, hard to the point of cruelty at times, always ready to test one's mettle, yet at the most unlikely times avuncular and nostalgic. Not greatly ideological/doctrinaire, he was basically a pragmatist in both the best and worst senses of the word. A complex, often contracitory man.
In balance, a considerable improvement over today's bunch.
