Here is an artice on Jehovah's Witnesses which was run in the St Petersburg times this morning. I have been in touch with the reporter, Sharon Tubbs, of this article. She is well aware of the Dateline and Wt polices toward child molesters.

Jeremy is walking alongside his mother. They stop at one house displaying a "No Soliciting" sign, but are not deterred. Mrs. Berger says she figures the sign applies to people selling things, not Witnesses spreading good news. Unless a sign says specifically "No Jehovah's Witnesses" -- which some do -- she generally knocks.

I know I am probably stating the obvious, but in the Supreme Court Case re: Stanton, Wasn't one of the options the Witnesses gave the town that they could put up "No Soliciting" signs???

And yet here they are(as we all knew they would) saying it doesn't apply to them.

GRRRR! They lie sooo blatently and get away with it.

    Just had to vent.

    Sorry

    BARF!!

I remember those days....like yesterday! Yuck! Everytime I drive by the KH, I want to stop, throw rocks at it and spray paint it.

    Edited to add:

Why didn't the reporter mention that they allow convicted peodophiles go door to door? That would stir things up. Heck, she could do a series on the dubs and Dateline.

Pure propaganda. Too bad they didn't actually research and discover the real truth about the JWs. Like, treating family as dead when they disagree, ripping families apart and scaring the hell out of kids if they don't go and sell the magazines.

Did anyone else notice not one mention of accepting donations for the rags?

I will be emailing the paper/reporter. If anyone else would like to do so, NowayTess has posted the reporter's email address above. When I heard back from the Boston Globe reporter after her article, she didn't seem the least bit interested in the serious concerns raised about this group by many non/ex-witnesses. Perhaps this reporter will be more receptive to the very real problems that plague this high-control group.

Henry Casper used to be our circuit overseer. He has an identical twin (I forget his first name) brother that lives in northern Maine. I saw him at a KM school wearing a name tag that said in big letters "I'm not Henry"
