I guess some will be awake....in 24 hr petrol stations, hospitals, airports and stuff. Probably some army and police as well.

My son was in Auckland this morning and I was unable to reach him by MY phone (service provider probably having a meltdown like most other USA communications systems right now) and needed desperately to get a message to him - no emergency, but important enough...
I've never been to your beautiful part of the world, but I'll hear all about it in a week or so!
Right now, he's on a plane headed for Sydney -
