Phil Donahue and JW's

Phil Donahue debuted on MSNBC tonight. I entered his rant after it started, however, it was about the Pledge of Allegiance and JW's.

His guest is Pat Buchanan and Phil is ranting about how great the JW Supreme Court decision was in 1942. He said the witnesses were persecuted for not pledging and that they were brave people. He mentioned that they were picked upon, spit upon and the like.

He also thought the Supreme Court was brave for voting in favor of the dubs.

Phil is sounding like O'Reilly. He was screaming at Pat B. and told him he would get his chance to speak after he was done....very similar in style to Bill O'R.

They are in a commercial now.

I was surprised to hear a news person mention the dubs. It has been awhile.

    Puffs,

Twenty years ago, I tried to watch Donahue everyday.

If accurate, your synopsis of his demeanor on his new show (I missed it) tells me that his new persona is meant to compete with current (and popular) in-your-face, confrontational talk-show hosts. A pity. Donahue should be Donahue, not some O'Reilly clone.

I wonder if he knows about the child molestation cases among the JWs. :-o

Somebody needs to remind Phil that, as part of Satan's Watchtower-persecuting media tool, that he is not allowed to make positive comments about the JW's

He said the witnesses were persecuted for not pledging and that they were brave people.

If he actually said the above, I couldn't imagine how much braver Phil thinks the little boys and girls trapped in the Waco compound who faced the tanks, machine guns and ultimately the flaming propane because of THIER own years of unbiased and informed personal research.
