Help -needed re: JW's answers on pedophile issues

  Hi everyone,

  I need your help. My uncle, who is an elder had the veracity to tell me that during his 20 years of being an elder, he has only seen two Pedophile issues in the 7 different congregations he's been in.

  The first one was in the Salinas Valley, Ca. I met the girl, InaMar Garza. Her father, brother Garza, did prison time in California in the 80's not only for abusing his own daughter but also for abusing pre-school children. He worked as a bus drive for the school District. The children told on him. There was a huge investigation. It was well publized in the early 80's by the media. It happened in a Spanish Congregation Greenfield Spanish Congregation. He lived or lives in King CIty, California.

  He finished his sentence in the late 80's and was reinstated as a witness in Good standing. I got the heebee Jeebees everytime I saw him. I as a teenage girl refused to shake his hand. He is still in the Salinas Valley with his family. His wife never divorced him. He also preaches door to door.

  The other case is my little sister abused by her father, my stepfather.

  Okay so this is what this JW elder uncle of mine told me. That I can't compare the huge number of pedophile catholics in comparison with the limited amount of Ped JW's. In addition he said, these two Jw ped's that I personally know of came into the trvth with these bad habits. They didn't pick up these habits as JW's.

  I need help.

  Of course the ratio of catholic Pedofiles to Jw's Pedofiles is going to be greater. There are more (millions) catholics. Does anyone know the number of total catholics in the world? I'd like to find out the ratio of Pedofiles per say 100 catholics & compare it to the number of JW pedofiles. This would be more accurate.

  Also- what the h-ll happened to the NEW Personality with these NEW JW converts??? The Became JW's but neer eliminated their Pedofile habits. Why is that these new JW converts can fool everyone?

  From what I recall, approximately 1/4 of the World population is Catholic, there's over a billion that's for sure. There's about 6 million Witnesses worldwide.

  However, the actual numbers are not the point in this fiasco. The problem is: the Governing Body's policies is allowing pedophiles to get away with molesting children; they won't admit there's a problem, they accuse anyone who goes public with "apostacy" rather than admit they've made a huge mistake, and change their stupid policy..........look how long it took them to make a half-assed apology about 1975!!! It took years and even then they refused to take full responsibilty.

  You may want to point out to your uncle that when the Catholic church scandal came to a head, NO ONE was threatened with ex-communication for going public with their stories of molestation and in fact, the Catholic church has said they will make changes at once. This is a far bigger step than what the leaders of the Society have done - they haven't done SQUAT. They are stubborn as mules and will not, under any circumstances, admit that there's a problem. That alone proves that they are neither faithful nor discreet as they like to claim - they're hypocrites......outside resembling white-washed graves, but inside they are full of dead mens bones.

  Ask your uncle to cast back on the characteristics of the Pharisees and ask if he can see a resemblance here..........

  First of all I would suggest that if you want to know the truth you shouldn't ask an elder. Elders do not discuss accusations of child abuse with each other much less with some female. Their job is to stop the accusations from becoming a conviction and a "mark" on the congregations reputation, so they surely don't reveal the "dirt" to others. He apparently disclosed two cases that he assumed you would find out about anyway. One person was convicted, the other person was in your own family.

  I asked eight people if they had heard of pedophiles, I now know of three convicted and four other accused pedophiles, some who later confessed. Only one sister denied knowing about any cases of child abuse, and became very upset. Later she told me that her own daughter had been raped by a young man in the congregation and she and her (then elder) husband were asked to cover it up. They did, now 10 years later, her daughter is in prison on a drug crime.

  I personally knew of three pedophiles in addition to the ones above.

  So ask the sisters, they are usually the victims or the mother's and the friend's of victims, and their primary responsibilty isn't to protect the congregation from the truth.

  The statements of Uncle Elder just show WT public relations shining through. In their releases and BOE letters they always speak of known molesters or pedophiles. That is,

  reference is only made to cases that have already been widely publicized by the press and court records. It is already public knowledge, so they have to admit to it.

  But thousands of hidden cases are not known, these are kept secret and out of sight. The data base list of 23,000 plus, molestation reports has been admitted by the WT, as Panorama and Silent Lambs have pointed out. The WT just says that the number is significantly less and that privacy laws do not allow them to reveal their list.

  This argument comes straight from the WTs transcript of the letter read to UK congregations at the WT study just before Panorama. This letter may be seen at the site below.

  The second paragraph says, What enables us to maintain our happy spirit? For one thing, we fear Jehovah and we deeply respect the admonition in His Word, including what the Bible says on sexual matters. (1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Hebrews 13:4) At first, it was not easy for some of us to bring our lives into harmony with Jehovah's elevated standards. We had to make significant changes in our lifestyle before we could qualify for membership in Jehovah's clean, spirit-directed organization. Was it worth the effort? Absolutely! How happy we are to be living in harmony with God's righteous re­quirements!

  So is pedophilia just a bad habit, brought into the organization from the world, and the molesters just did not clean themselves up? Some of these molesters are elders, that the spirit-directed organization has appointed after many years of faithful service. Others were raised in da troof.

  This is all I have time for right now, keep digging people, the answers are all there, we just have to strip off the whitewash and all the covered over dirt and smell will be revealed.

  My father went on record for WT and made a video stating in 38 years as an elder he had known of only two cases of pedophilia and both were handled. I sat down and started to think back on each congregation we had lived in and made up a list of names. In the end, I had 60 names of molested children and 13 child molesters. The defensive mode for the organization I think causes selective memory loss when elders are trying to protect the organization. I have also been contacted by four people involved in molestation issues that my father sat on their committees. So it just goes to illustrate how easy it is to forget about areas that are uncomfortalbe for the organization.
