I'm moving. I decided that I should find a cheaper place to live. I got lucky and found an apartment two blocks down the street for $150/month less than I pay now.
Maybe lucky isn't the right adjective.
The apartment is smaller and older than what I have now. And was just vacated by college students who were total slobs so the carpet is an absolute mess, not to mention the rest of the apartment. And there are no washer/dryer hookups so I'll have to do that myself or end up paying for laundry service somewhere. And then there's the usual hassle of having my utilities moved over there, meaning that I'll end up lacking at least one necessary public utility for at least a few days due to some asinine mistake by one of the utility companies. And that in spite of the fact that I've got the rest of the month to make the necessary transfers. Of course I also have to consider the usual "change of address" to be submitted to the various entities I owe money to and that will take at least three or four months to get sorted out. Not to mention the "change of address" submitted to the post office. While I now live a block north of the city's main post office and will be moving only one block south of such, this will create incredible logistics problems for the U.S. Postal Service so I can rest assured that I won't receive any mail for at least a month.
Then I have to consider who I will be living next door to.
Hopefully, college girls!!!!!!!
That would make it all worthwhile so y'all wish me luck!
Mike.
