I was wondering with all the child abuse cases that dont get to the proper authorities...what about other crimes.

Does anyone know if elders have been told to report other crimes to the police.

And does anyone have proof----I would be very interested in getting any kind of letters written to the elders from the WTS. Im sure they have their "policies" out for public viewing but as we all know what those say and the letters to elders are two different things.

    Thanks

    G'day Spice,

You could try looking at Kent's excellent reference site where he's put up letters to BOE.

As far as I know the policies are the same when it comes to reporting crimes.
I can tell you for sure that on several occasions that I personally know
of they did not report felony acts due to the two witness policy.
I cant tell you anymore then that, or I wont tell you anymore then that

    for personal reasons.

My mother in-law was assualted by an elder last year. He tried to put the "moves" on her. She did not report it to anyone but the elders in her cong. She said that she did not want to bring reproch on jehova's name. The elders told the CO and he gave the elder in question "a stern talking too". But that's all. My mother in-law said that all she could do is wait on Jehovah and let him deal with it in the end. I told her that I would hate to be waiting on jehovah and find out in the end that jehovah was waiting for me to do his work.

That reminds me of the joke where the guy is in the middle of a flood and wont accept help from anybody because he says "god will provide" then finally he dies and god asks him why he didnt take any of the help he sent...lol...the irony that some people live their lives in...truly sad.

It depends ... if you steal from the Kingdom Hall, or the Elders, maybe they will, but generally not. There is a reason. I recall an interesting experience that I will make a new post about.

I know of an incidence which occurred.: This couple owned a car, but she was the only one with a drivers license. One morning someone asked if the car could be moved. The husband (who had no license) grabbed the keys and started the car to move it a few meters. He didn't notice this little girl who was playing and ran over her foot resulting in multiple fractures.

In order to get the insurance to pay for all the damages this couple said that the wife was driving.

The insurance believed it, because there were no witnesses, until they told me.

I asked advice from the elders, because this couple had told them the real situation.

I can understand ofcourse, but still this is fraude. The elders did nothing, said nothing and let the insurance pay.

If that's not a cover-up, I don't know what is. I confronted the elders with this, but they advised me to be quiet about this.

This has bothered me for years. So thanks for letting me post this.

Ofcourse this is a cover up, but what do you expect?

Elders are taught to advise people to be quiet about things that will harm their so called 'good' name!!! They are not interested at all in their flock! Only in the money they are making for them!

An Emmy Award for the WTS!!!!
