Feel a new burst of energy? Well, the Sun is now in Leo, and it just so happens the ruler of Leo is... the SUN! So, this will have a large effect on many people's emotions and passions (if you buy into astrology.) Didn't post this for point of arguement, just for fun for you astrology fans out there. Enjoy!

July 23-August 23: The Sun's Transit of Leo
For Leos and non-Leos alike, this current Sun transit
brings a burst of positive energy. We have so much
opportunity for pleasure and positive self-growth. We must
be active and outgoing, accepting each day's challenges
and dares with a smile and an "Okay, I'll give it my best
shot!" Take a cue from Leo: Act the part of a courageous
and confident person, and you can become that courageous
and self-confident person.
Romance blooms under this Sign, too; your affections will
be extravagantly and fearlessly shared. You're persuasive and
playful thanks to this jolt of Leo-inspired assurance and
poise. Where you were once hesitant, you are now warm and
spontaneous, willing to speak your heart and take some risks.
Throw a party if you get a chance; though Cancer can claim
the title of the Martha Stewart of the Zodiac, Leo really
knows how to have a good time.
Though the Sun's transit of Leo is the biggest news in the
sky, some other celestial events will be making their marks
between now and the Sun's transit of Virgo next month...
July 24 Full Moon at 1 degree of Aquarius
The current Full Moon passes through Aquarius, an Air Sign
that highlights the ways in which we can become a better
friend and how we can maximize our unique qualities and
attract the kinds of people we want or need in our lives.
So, this lunar energy also gives us the mental stamina and
courage necessary for letting go of those relationships
that bring us nothing but aggravation and despair.
Full Moons are all about climax, about a turning point
after which nothing is ever the same. During this Moon phase,
then, you may suddenly realize how much time you've wasted
on a lost cause. Especially affected by this transit will be
Ariens/Taureans born April 19-24, Cancers/Leos born
July 21-27, Libras/Scorpios born October 22-27 and
Capricorns/Aquarians born January 19-24.
July 28 Mars Opposite Neptune
Don't be surprised if you feel a bit odd today -- when the
Planet of Passion Opposes the Planet of Illusion, ambiguity
reigns. Remember that things aren't always as they seem; it's
better to wait until you have all the facts instead of
relying on blind faith alone. Since you may be more gullible
than usual, keep your eyes open and your wallet closed until
you are feeling more clear-headed.
August 1 Jupiter into Leo
For the next year, we can expect to feel generous, expansive
and warmhearted -- that's what happens when the Planet of
Luck lounges in this outgoing Fire Sign. Jupiter encourages
exuberance and extravagance, and Leo is more than happy to
oblige. Jupiter rules the abstract mind, so when this planet
spends time in flashy Leo, our beliefs are dramatized -- we
promote our causes in bold, obvious ways. The attention
we'll receive will be intoxicating, but we must be careful
not to succumb to arrogance or self-importance.
August 5 Mars Trine Pluto
It's a great time to start something new! If you've
considered embarking on a special project or plan, now is
the moment to act. Because this aspect heightens your courage,
energy and physical strength, you'll be especially driven to
get results. You're not likely to take "no" for an answer
today! Your ambitions will be focused and your body will be
strong -- take advantage of this forceful energy.
August 6 Mercury into Virgo
Now you've got an opportunity to gather up and hone in on
all those pesky little details that escaped your grasp
during Mercury's transit of extroverted and unrestrained Leo.
This is a no-nonsense celestial energy, an influence that
fine-tunes your focus and amplifies your common sense and
logic. During the next couple of weeks, you'll be especially
adept with numbers, analysis, grammar and research.
Be careful, though, that your exaggerated sense of order
doesn't alienate you from the rest of the world. It's
possible to get too absorbed in minutiae and lose track of
how to relate to those around you. If forced to socialize
during this transit, you may be surprised and frustrated
with how awkward or shy you feel. All this attention to the
bottom line and to getting things just right may lead
to an inappropriately critical attitude toward other humans.
Do not expect from your loved ones the kind of perfection
you can find in a mathematical equation or a flawlessly
constructed paragraph. This unease will pass, and once
you're on the other side of Virgo, you'll take with you all
that you've managed to accomplish through your concentration
and hard work.
August 7 Venus into Libra
Until the 7th of September, romance takes a tender turn, as
Venus, Planet of Love, waltzes with charming, romantic Libra
for a little while. Since Libra's the natural Sign of the
Seventh House, realm of partnerships, you'll feel compelled
to do things with a companion by your side. Hand-holding,
sweet kisses on the cheek and intimate sharing -- all will
enliven existing romances. And for singles, now is a prime
time for socializing, especially at small, cozy parties with
kind people and an overall romantic mood. You won't have to
seek out that soft focus and candlelight, though, as Venus
in Libra makes all of life a romance.
Don't, however, expect to come to any conclusions or to
make any drastic changes to your amorous relationships.
Libra's need for harmony and balance rules out tense
discussions or loaded ultimatums. You're going now for a
comfortable status quo of sorts, a level playing field for
all involved.
August 8 New Moon at 16 degrees of Leo
There's a festive, positive New Moon cresting in Leo today,
and you simply must get out and enjoy the bounty of
nature -- and of life in general. This lunar force
reconnects to the earth and to our roots in creativity and
love, that is, it reconnects us to our most childlike
qualities. Notice the distinction between the terms
'childlike' and 'childish', however. Being 'childish' means
having no regard for the feelings of others; it means
shirking from responsibility and acting petulant in the
face of disappointment. 'Childlike', on the other hand,
calls to mind an innocence and a willingness to embrace
life's gifts with wide-open arms and a big smile.
During this Moon phase, you are full of energy, passion and
infectious curiosity. Get outside and play! Particularly
influenced by this phase will be Taureans born May 5-10,
Leos born August 7-11, Scorpios born November 7-11 and
Aquarians born February 4-8.
August 12 Perseids Meteor Shower
Sometimes the Earth encounters lots of dust and bits of rock
as it continues on its orbit. This fast-moving debris burns
when it nears the Earth's atmosphere, and creates a bright
streak in the sky. This brief flicker of fire is what we on
Earth see as a "meteor shower". The Perseids Meteor Shower,
which occurs in the middle of August every year, is one of
the best to view.
Most of the meteors illuminate the sky between midnight and
sunrise, so set your alarm clock accordingly if you want to
see this celestial spectacle! There's no need to bring a
telescope; as long as you view the meteor shower in a place
that's dark and removed from city lights, you should get an
eyeful.
August 19 Sun Opposite Uranus
Are you feeling restless or irritable? Blame this
challenging aspect! Your insistence of doing things your
own way may be met with resistance. Because you'll feel
willful and fiercely independent, you may want to consider
spending time on your own. Since you'll be in the mood for
something daring and exciting, look into thrilling activities
that allow you to release your pent-up frustrations.
August 21 Saturn Trine Uranus
Because Saturn and Uranus have such different natures,
aspects between the two planets tend to test us. In this
case, however, Saturn's practicality meshes well with Uranus's
originality. At this time, we are presented with a great
opportunity to improve on old structures, for we can see
and keep what's valuable from the old system but update and
innovate it for the new system. We're able to think
conventionally, but still remain open to new possibilities.
August 21 Full Moon at 29 degrees of Aquarius
On July 24, there was a Full Moon at 1 degree of Aquarius;
tonight, we are treated to a Full Moon in Aquarius once
again, this time at 29 degrees. If you're a Taurus or
Gemini born between May 19-24, a Leo or Virgo born between
August 21-26, a Scorpio or Sagittarius born between
November 20-25 or an Aquarius or Pisces born between
February 17-22, keep your eyes and ears open to
unconventional or unusual opportunities.
