A Jehovah's Witness, was one of six family members who died in a car accident in Texas. Her niece described her in very loving terms. The story was carried by the Shreveport (La.) Times, under the heading "Relatives cope with loss of six in Texas crash." Very tragic indeed.

The loss of life, how very tragic. If the one triplet survives it will be so very hard on her.
When I heard about this accident - and a friend read a few details from the local newspaper about it - I though about how tragic it was.
As I understood it, these folks were on their way to a funeral of a relative.
I said "Been there, done that."
Back in 1963, my dad's mom died. We went to her funeral some 70 or so miles north of here. After the funeral, we were headed home, and a car - came at us - both of the cars were doing 70+mph (110km/h) when they hit head-on.
The resulting crash was heard for miles.
My dad and one of my sisters didn't survive the crash.
The rest of us went to the hospital, where I spent my summer.
