Aussie Media Interested in Child Abuse stories

  The Australian media are starting to take interest in the JW abuse stories.The Sunday program on Channel Nine wrote me and asked:
  
  I am currently looking into child abuse allegations in the Jehovah's Witness church. I was wondering if you have heard of any allegations, one way or another on this topic. And if you had any contact with either victims or disaffected church elders that I might be able to get in contact with.
  
  Any one willing to speak up here in OZ .... even those who may want to hide
  their identity .....? If you can speak openly please do so. Lets get things moving here too!
  Please contact me if you would like to be involved and we can discuss how to protect you at the same time. I don't like people who are trying to protect their identity being exploited and there are ways to make sure this does not happen.
  
  If you have not had much experience with the media I am happy to help you get the best out of the interview by passing on what I have learnt this last 20 years.

  I thank you for your e-mail regarding this and I hope you have had more responses privately than you have had here.

  Yes I am a victim of JW abuse and yes I do want this to stop for the sake of the little children caught up in this cult through no fault of thier own as I was.

  Yes I am scared stiff but I want to let others know here in Oz that they are not alone and that there IS something they can do. Perhaps just knowing that there are others out here will help some to make the decision to speak to the media, so it is with this in mind that I have replied to your post even though I have already told you in reply to your e-mail that I would be willing to speak out.
