I must confess my ignorance when it comes to sports. Who is Tony Adams and what sports does he play? Redissue contains the following:

    WATCHTOWER

Tony Adams wants to become a Jehovah's Witness, according to the People.

The Arsenal and former England ace has told friends he is considering joining the sect when he finally quits the game.

Adams, 35, believes religion has helped him overcome a string of agonizing personal problems--his alcoholism, his marriage breakup and the recent deaths of his parents from cancer.

The info is found in the article entited "Tidbits and Tittle Tattle" by the editor.

Tony Adams always put me in mind of Liam Neeson.

If he wants to become a dub, it should be easy to discourage him from joining. I'll just send Arsenal a copy of the latest KM, the one where shunning one's mother is applauded.

Normal people will find that repugnant.

    Englishman.

Hi Termite! Duh! Still behind on my projects. I spent far too much time today e-mailing someone instead of getting on with my work, but a guy has to get his priorities right hasn't he?

If this is true then it's clearly another example of how a person can be very vulnerable to the witnesses when they are going through personal problems.

Some of the older members of the board may remember when Peter Knowles, another famous footballer, gave up a promising career to become a pioneer. This news coincided with the international assembly at Wembley in 1969, and was a valuable propaganda tool for the society. I hope we don't get a similar situation with Tony Adams!

U . S. may not be aware that our esteemed footballer, ex captain of England , fierce competitor and credit to the game, is a reformed alcaholic who spent some time in jail in his youth.

He always in recent years has come across as a decent individual even if he does things without thinking though properley.

For Gods sake save him from the Dubs. Any Arsenal fans please let him know the truth about the truth

PS lets hope he was joking!

Happyman..you sound like just because a famous sportsman is thinking about becoming a JW we should follow?

The Pope is a very big man! And I don't follow him either!

I heard a witness say that Armageddon is possibly less than 3 years away!

    What's your opinion on that?
