    Hey Plum. When I was hanging out with the White Supremacists, I got invited to a tea party and home church meeting. Anyway, I rolled up with some food, cause everyone had to bring a plate. I took a platter of cheese and biscuits and a jar of Mussels (cause I like mussels) ..You should have seen the horrified looks at the table.I didnt know what was wrong till someone pulled me aside and whispered that it was inappropriate food. I brought TABOO food. Oh man! A lot of those guys are old Testament Law Observers.

    Hardened Biblical Racists growing faint at the sight of a plate of oysters!

    I figure Acts 10:10-15 took care of that.

    "And the voice came to him a second time, What God has made clean, do not you make common." Now it was clear that this vision was to convince Peter he could share the good news with a Gentile. But it is also pretty clear that Jehovah has the final say in what is acceptable, regardless of what is written in the bible.

    ..and what Jesus drilled home, time and time again, is the law of love supercedes all others;

    Mat 15:11 Not what enters into the mouth defiles the man; but what goes forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man. (darby)

    Thanks for making my point. I hadn't thought of taking such a short cut but what ever brings it home

    The GB picks and choses what it wants to admonish members with based not on so much as what is written as much as what their opinion at a given time may be.
