Does the society cast doctors in a bad light?

  Does the society cast doctors in a bad light?

  I'm asking this as I feel that jehovahs witnesses often blame doctors or feel they are not doing their job properly if they wont operate without blood.I feel these negative attitudes toward doctors came from the society, but I'm not sure if it was through publications, rather through talks on assemblies and by circut overseers.

  There seems to be an attitude that if a doctor cant operate without blood , he cant be a very good doctor.

  What really annoyed me though is that children were taught that having a blood transfusion was like being raped.This is a disgusting attitude to show and teach, and I was vocal about this.

  The doctor is there to save lives, to teach that he is like a rapist if he thinks giving blood is the best way to do so , makes me very angery.

  Are any of these things in print , or was the society clever enough to only teach these things by word of mouth?

  In a bad light? For sure, especially since it's about 7 years study and the end of the world is coming very soon, anytime now, last days, almost here.

  Unfortunately, we just can't manufacture haemoglobin carrying cells yet, and I think it will be a while before jw clinical scientists do the necessary work in that field.

  Is there any such thing as a jw clinical haemotologist?

  When I was growing up in the org. my surgeon was a JW.Doctor Hutchinson. He was on the team of Doctors who invented that liquid oxygen to replace blood. They showed it on TV a couple of times a few years back. On the news. Anyway. I haven't heard what ever came of that.

  Don't know if they are using it still or what.

  I only had minor surgeries so never needed a transfusion.

  Yes, it is my impression that the WTS has "bad-mouthed" physicians, especially those in the medical profession for years. Others have posted about their condemnation of vaccinations, liquid organ transplantation (transfusions), solid organ transplantation, "unnecessary surgeries" and many other procedures. They have likened the medical profession to "big business," and accused many in the healing professions as in it for only the money.

  In more recent years they have attempted to moderate their printed positions and have run series on different approaches to healing, including homeopathy, chiropractic, osteopathy and traditional medicine.

  Deep down, in my opinion, they despise the medical profession (even though in recent years it has emerged as the clearly dominant approach to the care and healing of mans ills).

  The WTBTS loves to be viewed as the guardians of all knowledge and expertise . The Organization is a descendent of the exploitive "priestcraft" that , at all times, has claimed to be the mouthpiece of God while the truth is that every individual has a direct line to the Divine. It is the knowledge of individuals that is bringing down this exploitive ediface. From Pythagorus , Buddha, and numerous other individuals down to our day , humanity is being liberated by ideas and workable knowledge that is beyond the control of any exploitive organization . The WTBTS is against all other sources of insight that might take adulation away from them. This has been apparent from their beginning and from their reluctance to accept any authority unless they somehow get credit for recognizing its validity. All fields serve as examples of this exploitive arrogance : Pschology, Education ,Medicine, History etc. You name it and they , The WTBTS , somehow has the best and last word. But the internet is putting an end to all this and it represents still another advance coming from individuals .
