    Hi Everyone,

We just added 2 new MP3s to our site. One is Doris Toran's personal testimony of how she was DF'd twice & the other is "How To Rescue Your Relatives From The Watchtower", by David Reed. Hope you like!

    So was I.

The second time was in abstentia, and I just found out recently that I've been df'd for 5 years, LOL!

LDH....congrats on your being disfellowshipped twice. I had to be baptized twice.....I know, it's not quite the same thing. Out of curiosity, was your disfellowshipping for the same thing?? btw... please post more often; your insights are appreciated!

    Minimus,

Thanks for your kind words! I would LOVE to post more often but right now am tied up with two committees and the events are drawing close waaaaay too fast...

Here is a brief synopsis of why I was df'd the first time:

When I was DF at 19 for immorality. There were MANY young people in our cong. who were screwing everything in sight. I know because the Elders would come and ask me what I knew about "such and such" .... Yet they were not DF'd or even reprooved.

However, because I got pregnant, I was openly told that I was an embarrasment to Jehovah and the Congregation. Therefore, I had to be expelled....not to help *ME*, but to protect the reputation of the congregation. Yep. They told me that.

One of the biggest jokes of all, one of the Elders on my "committee" was the father of a daughter who was looser than any worldly woman I've ever met. She denied all charges of immorality. Nothing happened to her. Although I had CONCRETE PROOF, this because the Elders asked me to tell them what I knew.

Yes, I was punished not for being "immoral" but for being naive enough to get pregnant! LOL! For proof positive on this theory I only had to wait three months. Another young girl in my cong. was DF'd. Four months later she had a son.

YET, NOT ONE of the young people who were TRULY the immoral ones were df'd. Apparently, because they weren't pregnant, they were not an "embarrasment to the congregation!"

Don't you ever forget it----the Elder's primary goal is to maintain the appearance of a perfect, unified congregation. If you get hurt in the process, just like all the other wars, you are just "Collateral Damage."

The second time I was df'd it was for an even funnier reason! (A family member) and I were sharing an apartment (I was only there temporarily as I was living in Puerto Rico at the time) so actually, *I* was living with *her*. This is an important detail, read on.

She was accused of having involvement in criminal activity. In brief, the police had a picture of a black woman with cornrows robbing a bank (if you know this person you are already laughing out loud....she has never had cornrows in her life, much less robbed a bank, and in fact, did not even resemble the picture they showed her as "evidence") and they made an error in judgement by arresting her. They then realized their mistake, and asked her to 'plea bargain-' LOL....she flatly denied, forcing them to go all the way to trial with their weak ass case. She was cleared of all wrong doing and the police personnel involved, well let's just say some of them are serving jail time for tampering with evidence. The DA was soundly trounced by the judge on the case.

Anyhow, it was during this time I was staying with her. Of course, the trial itself was scandalous and the elders were CONSTANTLY at her house , basically looking for any good tidbits of gossip to share. They certainly never came to encourage her. At this point she had just had it, and wrote a letter DAing herself.

If you thought the matter ended there you are sadly mistaken. They continued to come to her house, ignoring her, but seeking to admonish me for *living with an apostate.* They literally walked into her house while looking the other direction and I was foolish enough to sit down with these dumb asses whose questions basically served no purpose.

I told them to fuck off, and do whatever they wanted. Apparently, they did. I was df'd but I didn't know it cause I never went to another meeting there.

I found out about two months ago, when my parents told me. I could care less.
