The JW comments to the Scottish Press available at the Silent Lambswebsite sounded very familliar! Looks like more outright lying!

There are certainly no sanctions against any congregation member who reports an allegation of child abuse to the authorities." [Statement to the Scottish Press July 17, 2002]

The society is being as cunning as ever. The word sanction has more than one meaning. One of the meanings is "to approve". If you read the above with that definition in mind, they are really saying that they will not give their approval for victims to go to the athorities, nor will they give their approval for those taking blood. They always use this word in these kinds of situations. I believe they use it because it can be taken whichever way that suits their interests, and can be used to decieve the public and athorities.
Yes once again the tower of darkness uses tricky words to deceive the unwary. It seems that every single statement they put out must first go through a battery of lawyers to add double meaning.
Either that or they have former president Bill Clinton (it depends on what your meaning of is is) on the writing staff.
