i went out to get my mail today, and to my shock and suprise there was a letter from the WTBTS!! as i walked back inside i was really hoping that the letter was a response to my 4 page DA letter(that letter was not accepted, i was DFed anyway as i've said before). i had asked them why the local elders had grounds for DFing among many other questions. i just thought it would be nice to at least have their answers even though i didn't expect to feel much better about them. all this went through my head in about 10 seconds and then i opened the letter. i instantly felt stupid for even thinking they might take the time to respond when i realized the letter was just making me aware that the mag. subscription my mother-in-law signed us up for was on it's way. it also informed me that my wife and i could have a "free home bible study" if we wanted. guess they didn't check their records there. oh well, i should have known better. at least i'll be getting the latest news from the WT. i like keeping an eye on them:)

Nate,
I can't hear the phrase "false alarm" without thinking of Bill Murray in What About Bob? when he kept pretend barfing. Just for practice.
Shoot, I would've loved to hear their reply, but you are 'dead' to them now, they have nothing to say to you.

unanswered,
The letter I received from the WT attorneys in 1989 was not as nice as yours. I still get all their latest info and magazines from those inside that know the organization is a joke and a sham.

Nate,
Let me get this straight, I must have missed your bio somewhere along the line.
You da'ed yourself and the df'ed you instead? Unbelievable. Not that I don't believe you, just one more thing on my list.

Thanks, unanswered, for the news,
How was the letter addressed to you,
Did they start with Dear ........I just wondered because in times past when letters have been sent to DF persons, the letter starts with: "Mr ....." i.e. it does not include the word "dear" in the salutation. You see, they think that's scriptural because they can't share a greeting with a Df person!
I think you're quite privilgeed to even get a letter about your sub. Here in Oz, very few subs are mailed; most are delivered by the pioneers (late, usually!) and if you're DF, there's no certainty you'll get yours.
Oh, it's a great system this "spiritual paradise" ain't it?
Cheers,
Ozzie
