Over the past few days some people have been talking about various electronics and gadgets and other stuff like that. Some of you have expressed interest in seeing what kind of stuff I have here and how my entertainment system works. Well, its not perfect and has many areas that could be improved upon but its still pretty inventive if you ask me. You have to be technically inclined to really use all of it but once you get the hang of it its really great. Just about any audio or video source can be routed to any other device that I want. Check out http://www.geocities.com/jesusemail4kevin/ to see a diagram of the system, a page explaining what you see, and another page talking about what's needed to be done to make it even better.
If by chance the page doesn't come up that just means that there's been a bit of demand on the server. Try again a little later.
If anyone has any questions or comments please don't hesitate to ask me. Sorry if this is a little too off topic for this place too.

Hey Jesus! We share the same interest. Sorry, but I couldn't make out the pics on your website so maybe you could provide some info here.

Right now I've got a 32" TV which is plenty big enough for me. An Onkyo TX-DS555 Dolby Digital receiver. Jensen 3-ways for the front left and right channels, a Carver TFM-6CB amp in bridged mode driving a cheap sub but it does the job, and two custom-built dipole (or is it bipole) surrounds using Pioneer drivers.

I'll be upgrading to custom speakers soon as budget permits.

    Mike.

Ethan is the name of the Holy Spirit. Yeah, that's it........not my son.

Your setup sounds pretty nice Bendrr. I love Onkyo receivers. I had a Sony when I first started with all this stuff but hated the way it sounded and it didn't have enough inputs so I bought my Onkyo used from some guy off the net for less than half of what its worth and it works great. I want to get a Dolby Digital one sometime and the only reason I didn't get one before is when I got my Onkyo the very first DD's were just coming out and it cost around $1,000 for a cheap Pioneer with less power and way more distortion in the power amp section than my Onkyo (it has a THD rating of like .006%). Even with my Pro-Logic receiver I have clearer sound with DVD's than most of my friends with Digital receivers so I can't complain too much.

As for di-pole/bi-pole I'm pretty sure its di-pole if the two drivers are out of phase with each other and bi-pole if they're in phase with each other. You may want to check that out because I could have it reversed.

Edited to add that if you would like Bendrr I'd be happy to email that diagram of my system to you. Its about 130k so just let me know if you want it.
