Someone emailed me interested in arranging a talk about witnesses:
My name is A***** B***. I'm a clinical social worker at a private non-profit mental health agency in Baltimore MD. Here at my agency, we have a cultural awareness committee that seeks to educate our staff about various religions, cultures, races, and prejudices, for example. I visited your site today and am very interested in arranging a talk about Jehovah Witnesses for our October 2002 forum. Do you know if Baltimore or MD has an JW organization I could contact to talk more about this and seek out presenters to come in and facilliate a round-table discussion? I would appreciate your assistance in any way you can. My email address is XXX. My number is XXX. Thanks for your help.
If anyone in this area would like to help, please contact me and I will pass on contact details.
I lived in Baltimore for eight years, and moved away last April.
Is the agency to which you refer possibly be the Sidran Foundation? I know quite a few of the people there, and would be glad to help.
Elizabeth V if you are reading this, contact moi! I owe you years and years of gratitude debt. You helped me more than I can describe at SEPH in the mid 90's.
You'll see an email link for Beth Ann Miner. She's got a Masters degree in child psychology, and is also an ex-JW. She's a real sweetheart and very knowledgeable. I personally know many of the members there and Beth Ann can give you info and/or get you in contact with others.
I haven't tried that her email link recently, so, if it doesn't work, just let me know, give me your contact info, and I'll let her know. My email address is [email protected]
