A friend emailed this to me at work and I wanted to share it....hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Lisa Beamer on Good Morning America-
    >
    > If you remember, she's the wife of Todd Beamer who said 'Let's
    > Roll!' and helped take down the plane that was heading for Washington
    > D.C. She said it's the little things that she misses most about Todd,
    > such as hearing the garage door open as he came home, and her children
    > running to meet him.
    > She's now the Mom of a beautiful little girl, Mary.

    > late afternoon sunlight came streaming in through the classroom windows
    > and the class was nearly over, she moved a few things aside on the edge
    > of her desk and sat down there. With a gentle look of reflection on her
    > face, she paused and said, Class is over, I would like to share with all

I oftened wondered if others looked at things the way I did, I mean in great detail. I think sometimes when we have such a lose or tragedies in our lives it does make us want to hold on to what is beauty in everyday life. Today I looked out the window and saw many leaves all over the lawn. I have to say, that this is a hard time of the year for me,,,,, my mom loved the fall, and it will soon be here and she will not, this has happened every year for 16 yrs since she passed. But after I read this, I went out and picked up one of the leaves and instead of thinking about this time of the year and the falling leaves reminding me of her death, I thought of how she loved those leaves. Life is way too short that is for sure, if she were here with me now , she would be loving those leaves.

    LE-

You are sooo right! I think we would all feel healthier and happier if we looked at things around us, like the fall leaves that your mother loved so much, and see the beauty in them. In itself, the leaves do not represent the END of Summer, but a BEGINNING of a new season...how thankful that we have made it this far and to be able to observe and feel these changes around us. I try to see things for what they are and enjoy the moment....because that too will be just a memory.

Take those leaves and keep them as a memory of the love that your mother had for them, and see them through her eyes.

Thanks Lost Diamond....that DID brighten my day...it was great.

My Dad's been gone for over 10 years now...we were very close and I think of him everyday. I have no doubts that when we too put aside our journey in this life, we will again be reunited with those we love....and you know what...I bet your mom is still loving those leaves and is closer to you than you know.

Thank you LD, it is a beautiful post.

(((((Dede))))) - I often see things my mum loved, and when I see those things I am reminded of her, and the beautiful woman that she was, even though she lost her life far too early.
